This thesis of history is ultimately the improvement of the methodologies of hazard based on macroseismic data in the case ofhistorical earthquakes. To this end, the effort of basic research, as well as the analysis of the vulnerability of societies of the past to natural hazards involves the creation and the use of methodological tools applicable to historical earthquakes (historical criticism, lexicon, and mapping).
