Chronic heart failure (CHF) and acutely decompensated heart failure (ADHF) are the most frequent hospital diagnoses in industrialized countries. The clinical presentation of heart failure is dominated by two symptoms: dyspnea and fatigue. These symptoms dictate patients' physical capacity and quality of life.
