To improve knowledge about incubation techniques, 5842 Muscovy duck eggs, layed by three duck groups (1,2,3 years old), were incubated in two different positions (vertically and horizzontaly positioned) and subjected to three different treatments (no wetting and, daily, 11 d through 30 d, sprayed or submerged with an isotonic solution. The hatch was influenced by the egg laying time (initial=central>conclusive). The incubation time was influenced by the egg-laying time. The duckling weight was influenced by the egg weight (b=+0.66), by the incubation time (b= -0.65), by the position and by the egg-laying time. All results were significant (P<0.0
