The technique of covariance mapping has been applied to time-of-flight spectroscopy of laser ablated ions from YBCO. The spatial analysis of the plume has been performed. In the geometry in which superconductive films are obtained we found a modulation of the ion cluster signal corresponding to an oxygen atom capture
