A solution is proposed which allows one to consider the case in which the impedances of the two faces of the wedge are functions of the distance from the edge, in the plane transverse to the edge. The approach which is followed is in the context of perturbative methods. It can be applied whenever the surface impedance profile of each face of the wedge can be interpreted as a small perturbation of the constant impedance case. Only TEz (h) polarization is considered; however, the extension of the analysis to the TMz case (e) is straightforward. The first-order perturbative correction to the field is obtained by solving an inhomogeneous functional equation of the Malyuzhinets (1958) type. Preliminary numerical results are presented in the high...
