The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of single and repeated intravitreal injections of bevacizumab on various retinal layers focusing more on retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) in healthy rats. Male Wistar rats were treated with intravitreal injection of bevacizimab (4 μL) within right eye. Left eyes were injected with the same volume of balanced salt solution (BSS) and used as control. Ten rats received a single intravitreal injection and ten rats had three injections, with seven days time interval.
