In the present work, by means of the implicit gradient approach, the fatigue behavior of different types of arc welded joints has been analyzed. The structural details made of steel, had been studied without making any geometric simplification. Moreover, it is considered the same numerical procedure independently from weld size and shape and without imposing restrictive rules in the FE mesh
