This work enabled us to characterize some properties of second harmonic generation in near-field optics thanks to the numerical methods implemented during this period: perturbativ Rayleigh method (MPR) and Finite difference time domain method (FDTD). Initially, the sources of the optical second harmonic were clarified according to the various types of crystalline symmetries. Then, the step to adapt the two numerical methods (FDTD and MPR) to nonlinear optics was exposed precisely. Tests on the two numerical methods were carried out for two types of materials: centrosymmetric and noncentrosymmetric materials.
