International audienceBeyond the legal public participation, urban noise presented in the NoisePrevention Plan is based on a top-down approach (linear process) without a real integrationof the needs and preferences of end users. Moreover, little research focused on noise mappingas an efficient communication tool. This contribution focuses on noise mapping by taking intoaccount the perception of various users. As part of a circular process, a survey wasconducted among 57 volunteers aiming at the construction of a participatory representationof soundscapes.
