Wound healing, occurs naturally upon inflammation following a programmed process such as hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. But at times this sequence is not followed due to lack of sufficient oxygenation, nutrition, stress etc. thus causing improper or impaired wound healing.
