The economic load dispatch is an integral part of power system. The leading purpose is to minimize the fuel cost of power plant without violating any system constraints. Many conventional methods are applied to elucidate economic load dispatch through mathematical programming and optimization technique. The popular traditional method is the lambda-iteration method.
