In this document two analyses of the properties of the Higgs boson in the diphoton decay channel with the CMS experiment at the LHC (Large Hadron Collider) are presented.The document starts with a theoretical introduction of the Standard Model and the Higgs boson physics, followed by a detailed description of the CMS detector.Then, photon reconstruction and identification algorithms are presented, with a particular focus on the differences between the first and the second run of the LHC, the first run (Run1) took place from 2010 to 2012 with a centre-of-mass energy of 7 and then 8 TeV, while the second run (Run2) started in 2015 with a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV.
