International audienceIn France most landscape managers are trained in five public institutions of higher education, whose responsibilities lie in three different departments. Since they also deliver two distinct diplomas, these bodies, which might be referred to as “ landscape schools ”, have for some years sought to improve their cooperation, notably on contents and didactics. The move is supported by the Department of Environment, Sustainable Development and Development (whose acronym in French is MEDDE), as a component of its national policy in favour of landscapes.
