The literature argues that the Intellectual Capital (IC) consists of three elements: human, structural and relational capital. However, we suggest that also other fundamental elements could be included in IC, i.e. renewal capital (RC), trust capital (TC) and entrepreneurial capital (EC). Starting from this assumption, the aim of this work is to analyse the relationship between two fundamental stand-alone components of IC (RC and EC) and firms’ financial performances.
