From a poetics of space to a politics of place : the topographical turn in literary studies

The article‘s subject is a topographical turn in literary research considered in association with the spatial turn in humanities. It in particular concerns contemporary reconfigurations, both in the area of new concepts of space and the discipline itself which is open today for circulation of ideas and notions from other 409 areas. The essay indicates the main directions of interest of the research current in question, including e.g.: new regionalism, ecocriticism, literary urban studies, relations between literary representations of space and individual/collective identity, interrelations between literature and geography. Characterized are the basic determinants of new concepts of space, e.g. connecting spatiality with temporality, return of the category of place, interest in hybrid and transitive spaces and heterotopias, and the fundamental shift in the perspective - from a poetics of space to a politics of place.Темою цієї статті є топографічний поворот у літературознавчих дослідженнях, що розглядаються в поєднанні з поверненням простору в галузі гуманітарних наук. Особливо стосується питання сучасних реконфі- гурацій як на обширі нових концепцій простору, так і у самій дисципліни відкритій нині для циркуляції понять з інших царин знання. Нарис вказує головні напрямки зацікавлень цієї дослідницької течії, між іншим, новий регіоналізм, екокритика, літературні урбаністичні дослідження, відносини між літературними репрезентаціями простору і індивідуальною та колектив- ними ідентичностями, зв‘язки літератури та географії. Характеризуються також підставові означення нових концепцій простору, між іншим, поєднання просторовості із темпоральністю, повернення категорії місця, зацікавлення просторами гібридичними, перехідними і гетеротопіями, а також принципове пересунення перспективи з поетики простору до політики місця
