The article provides a comprehensive account of the codification of Private International Law in the Netherlands (the book 10 of the Dutch Civil Code). The article discusses the history of legislative work on the book 10 as well as its scope and objectives. Particular emphasis is placed on general provision of the book 10 of the Dutch Civil Code and the comparison with the Polish Act on Private International Law of 2011
