Despite the outstanding performances reached by today's infrared quantum photo-detectors, progresses have been stagnating for years. The main limitation is due to the noise generated by the dark current, which requires, cooling down the devices at a cryogenic temperature for the largest wavelengths. The main objective of this thesis is to propose new concepts for overcoming these fundamental limits. By combining innovative photo-detector structures and optical nano-resonators, new structures are proposed. By reducing by more than order of magnitude the thickness of the absorbing layer, optical and electrical properties of the structure are deeply modified.
