Objectives: to scale the evolution of cephalic dimensions of term newborns between the 19th and the 21st centuries, and to compare the evolution of cephalic dimensions of newborns with the evolution of the feminine pelvis.Materials and methods: retrospective study of the ancient population, and prospective study of the contemporary population. Data studied are weight, height, biparietal diameter, head circumference, occiput-chin circumference, occiput-forehead diameter, occiput-chin diameter and sub-occiput-bregma diameter.Results: all studied data has significantly increased between the 19th and 21st centuries.
