International audienceDrawing on a recently started research in Beirut (Lebanon) with women whose migration is tied to a domestic work contract, the present paper reconstitutes a methodological and epistemological path that involves distinct regimes of traces. Initial interest in the ideological structures embedded in language that affect the labor and lives of migrant women in the Kafâla (Sponsorship) System, comes across elements of personal and social memory. In accordance with a situated knowledge epistemology, interviews with employers complement collaborative action-research with migrant women.
