Second RAF paralogue (BRAF) is a proto-oncogene that encodes a serine/threonine kinase that transduces regulatory signals through the Rat Sarcoma (RAS)/RAF/ mitogen-activated protein kinase extracellu-lar signal-regulated kinase (MEK)/extracellu-lar signal-regulated kinase (ERK) pathway.
