Professional Learning Community, Collective Efficacy, Gender, and School Level

This study examined the relationships among teacher perceptions on professional learning community (PLC), collective efficacy (CE), gender, and school level. The participants were 486 elementary school and secondary school teachers in Taiwan. The analytical results showed a positive correlation between teacher perceived PLC and CE, i.e., perceived PLC could predict perceived CE. At task analysis level, the PLC dimension human and social resource was strongest predictor of perceived CE. At group competence level, however, the core element dimension was the best predictor.
