In the present study, longitudi-nal strips of postmortem human ileum displayed a strong con-tractile response to the B2 receptor agonist, bradykinin (EC5O = 7.0 nM). Noninduced ileum strips contracted only to high con-centrations (1 and 1 0 p.M) of the Bi receptor agonists, des-Arg9-BK and Lys#{176}des-Arg9-BK.
