the scene Ladies and gentlemen, colleagues and friends, I feel very privileged and honoured to be giving this year’s Casson Memorial Lecture. The aim of my lecture is to explore the notion of diversity and, particularly, how diversity is reflected within our own profession. Experience, drawn from a considerable number of years in occupational therapy education, has taught me that any lecture, particularly if, as now, it is at the end of a long day spent concentrating and listening to lots of different presentations, should set out clearly what the lecture is going to cover.
