Rechargeable sodium battery has emerged as a promising contender for future energy storage devices owing to the abundant nature and cost sensitivity of high-volume markets. Despite the resurgence in interest in Na-ion technology, several fundamental issues of increasing practical importance have not been adequately tackled. One such issue concerns the safety.
