Approximately 10% of ossicles fail to unite with the tibial tubercle, and patients with Osgood-Schlatter disease continue to have anterior knee pain brought on by even mild activity1. Patients usually be-come asymptomatic after skeletal maturity, although they have a prominent mass in the anterior aspect of the proximal part of the tibia.
