Wilcox (1977) describes three probability models which character-ize a single test item in terms of a population of examinees. The purpose of this note is to indicate that similar models can be derived which characterize a single examinee in terms of an item domain. A numerical illustration is given which shows how our models might be used to adjust observed scores when comparing examinees
