The results of detailed measurements are used to compare acoustical conditions in a multi-purpose hall with those in three famous concert halls. The values of five modem acoustical measures are presented for each hall. Significant differences are expected and found between the multi-purpose hall and the dedicated concert halls. The paper is intended to demonstrate the value of using extensive modem measurements to more reliably evaluate acoustical conditions in auditoria.
