Tumors containing granular cells can present in 2 forms: as a “pure ” neoplasm composed entirely of granular cells, or as a focal change of greater or lesser extent in a neoplasm of a recognizable cell type. The first form, which is referred to as granular cell tumor, is a generally benign neoplasm of pre-sumed schwannian nature usually located in the skin or subcutaneous tissue and oral cavity, but which has also been reported in innumerable other sites [1]. Its incidence peak is in the fourth through the sixth decades and it preferentially affects black females [1,2]. The second form is seen within the context of a recognizable tumor type and is thought to represent a secondary event, the tumor exhibiting this chang
