Postpartum women have frequently interrupted sleep, report high levels of fatigue, and may experience circadian rhythm disruptions. They are also susceptible to mood impairments, anxiety, and stress. The current study explored associations between maternal postpartum daily fatigue patterns, which should vary according to circadian influences and mental health. Seventy-one primiparous, healthy mothers completed multiple daily self-reports of fatigue during postpartum Weeks 2 and 12 and were categorized at each week as having either a rhythmic or random fatigue pattern during the daytime.
