In this paper, a simplified technique is proposed for the generation of equal power correlated Rayleigh fading envelopes for multiantenna systems with any desired correlation. The procedure employs consecutive coloring of uncorrelated reference processes using real correlation matrix of envelopes instead of the complex covariance matrix of the Gaussian samples utilized in traditional techniques. Doppler frequency shift, propagation delay spread, and frequency separation between envelopes are also considered for different transmission conditions.
