Second order trend surface and residual maps have been obtained for geographically distributed values of Ag in galena, Sn in sphalerite and As in pyrite from the Slocan mining camp, British Columbia. Quadratic surfaces for the 3 variables have similar patterns and coincident major axes with a northwest trend. Surfaces are dome shaped with a high central zone near Sandon camp and values decreasing outward. Each of the surfaces has a low coefficient of determination but the similarity of patterns and correlation with known geological features in the camp suggests they represent real but generalized trends.
