Abstract: The fauna of butterflies of Ulleungdo Island in South Korea have been poorly surveyed to date. We conducted a monthly investigation on the butterfly fauna from May to September in 2012 to verify their presence. In this study, we reviewed the previous literatures with discussion of some doubtful species in their distribution of Ulleungdo Island. According to our survey, five species (Taraka hamada, Limenitis helmanni, Argynnis laodice, Neptis alwina, Chitoria ulupi, and Kirinia epimenitis) are assumed to be incorrect records.
