We fabricated organic photovoltaic cell devices by using MEH-PPV/C60 composites with various concentrations of C60. The devices exhibit photoluminescence quenching and an enhancement in the photovoltaic effect with increasing C60 concentration, both of which are associated with the photoinduced charge transfer characteristic of these materials. For the 20 % (weight ratio C60 to MEH-PPV) composite device, we observed the incident light intensity dependence of the short circuit current (Isc)-Our results demonstrate the potential of these materials as a new class of high-performance organic photovoltaic cell.close2
