Abstract This study examined the relationships between self-control and addictive mobile phone use among nursing students. The data was collected through structured questionnaires from 293 students and analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and Pearson's correlation coefficients on SPSS WIN v 18.0 and AMOS v 18.0. The mean scores of self-control and addictive mobile phone use were 3.42±0.45 and 2.69±0.45, respectively. A statistically significant negative correlation was observed between self-control and addictive mobile phone use (t=-.447, p<.01).
