state funded project, is designed to facilitate school-to-work transition for mildly to moderately handicapped adolescents. The program provides school-based instruction in social behaviors associated with successful job performances. Following instruction, the students are provided with non-subsidized community-based employment to promote generalization and maintenance of acquired social skills. Communication skills, problem solving and decision making, self-monitoring, and networking skills are included. Procedures for individual assessment and program evaluation include attitudinal surveys, rating scales, and criterion-referenced tests.
