A hierarchical structure of intelligent system for regimes control in arc steelmaking furnace is suggested. A strategy of adaptive optimal control of melting regimes based on the criteria of maximum arcs power and variant of its implementation on the basis of neuro-controller is developed. Architecture is substantiated, training and testing of neural network performed for synthesis of arc voltage regulation settings optimum values for electrodes positioning subsystem. The results of electrodes positioning system optimal settings based on the maximum arcs power criterion are shown
