An archaeological evaluation of a pond impoundment site in central Montgomery County, Texas was performed by Brazos Valley Research Associates (BVRA) in August 2003 with William E. Moore the Principal Investigator. This is a federal project that will be largely funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). No archaeological sites were found during the archaeological survey in an area viewed by BVRA as a very unlikely setting for a prehistoric site. Therefore, it is recommended that the City of Panorama Village be allowed to proceed with construction as planned with no further archaeological investigations.
