An editied version of this paper was published by AGU. Copyright 1976 American Geophysical Union. The overland flow on an infiltrating converging surface is studied. Mathematical solutions are developed to study the effect of infiltration on nonlinear overland flow dynamics. To develop mathematical solutions, infiltration and rainfall are represented by simple time and space in variant functions. For complex rainfall and infiltration functions, explicit solutions are not feasible
