This paper describes the California Energy Commission’s (Commission) energy policies and programs that save energy and money for California’s manufacturing and food processing industries to help retain businesses in-state and reduce greenhouse gases through decreased energy use. The Commission’s objective is to achieve 2 trillion British Thermal Units (Btu) per year in energy savings for California industry by the year 2010.
