Financial Satisfaction and Employment Status: A Pisa Case Study

In this thesis I will analyze the drivers of financial satisfaction. First I will present the existing literature on the topic, then I will describe the empirical models. The models are tested on some original data collected jointly by the University of Pisa and the Pisa Employment Center the sample is composed of 386 people registered to the employment center. From our analysis related that financial satisfaction is path dependent and consistently with literature gender and age are not significant, education is significant in some the models that control for employment status and not in others, component of the household and number of minors.
