In this thesis it was designed a test rig for the life assessment of DS gas turbine blade (first stage) in which there is a polycrystal zone (placed in the first cooling hole of the trailing edge). The test rig is aimed at testing blades. The results shall be used for developing and/or assessing residual life assessment models. The test rig allows also to compare blades with the polycrystal zone with the intact blades made of DS material. This comparison is useful to evaluate the importance of the polycrystal area and how this can degrade the blades
