Thank you for helping describe and caption this important historical image.The object depicted in the image is made of the following material(s): laterite faced with sandstoneInformation about the creation of the object depicted in the image: late 9th to 10th centuryInformation about the restoration of the object depicted in the image: Cleared 1938Phnom Krom was built by Yasovarman I (889-c.915) or possibly his court officials, but there are no known inscriptions to verify the date or name. The temple has three towers dedicated to the three main Indian gods, Brahma, Vishnu and Siva, and from the summit there are views of the Tonlé Sap and West Baray. The statues of Brahma, Vishnu and Siva originally placed in the shrines were moved to the National Museum in Phnom Penh for preservation.Source for information about the object depicted in the image: Jessup, Helen Ibbitson.
