Beaver is international problem solving contest with a focus on computational thinking. It is one of the ways to increase interest in computer topics among children. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the presentation of the Beaver contest and its tasks. We presented the computational thinking, active learning and problem-based learning. In the empirical part we focused on problem solving tasks in the Beaver contest in the first three years of primary school, we found the learning objectives, which relate to computational thinking.
