Participation of citizens in decision processes in the municipality

The work deals with the problem of citizen participation in the work of elected municipal bodies and the possibilities of its active application. Participation of the population is one of the instruments that municipal autonomy can use in its decision. The aim of my thesis was to find out how citizens can participate in active life in the village. They were the basic concepts and defined the legal framework in which it is possible to apply participation. The subject of research were the two selected micro-regions in the Pilsen region. It was determined by the degree of public participation at village council meetings and their participation in clubs and associations. The survey among citizens and other actors in public life were investigated possibilities for communication, collaboration and set the conditions to improve this activity
