Financing of municipalities

The main aim of the bachelor thesis is based on an analysis of the existing financial management of the municipality to evaluate and recommend own proposals to greater efficiency. An analysis of economic data is prepared for period of the last 5 years, selected indicators for the last 7 years. The secondary objective is in the theoretical part to introduce structure of public administration, legal definition of municipalities and theoretical perspectives on the issue of financing of municipalities. A separate section is devoted to funding possibilities from the Structured funds of the European Union for the financial period 2014-2020, are presented operational programs from which municipalities can apply for funding. In the final evaluation is defined a total of six financial and non-financial recommendations for improvement
