The process of evaluation and self-evaluation is one of the effective means of maintaining and improving the quality of educational activities. This thesis deals with the theme of quality and evaluation. Key concepts are explained and defined, executive role in the development of quality is formulated and basic parts of the strategic quality plan are introduced. Further, objectives of self-evaluation and phases of the process are named and explained. Methods for detecting climate of the educational process, resources and school management are described and analyzed.
