The Issues of Development of Emotional Intelligence in Government

The theoretical part of my bachelors thesis The Issues of Development of Emotional Intelligence in Government is focusing on the formation of individual emotional intelligence approaches and explains individual abilities and skills in this area. The practical part of my thesis is focusing on evaluating the emotional intelligence approach of the executive employees in the government and their willingness to develop and learn about this subject. In the research part of my bachelors thesis I used questionnaires to study the knowledge of the emotional intelligence principles with 40 executive employees of the government and how they practice those principles. Based on the responses it was concluded that all respondents consider emotional intelligence to be very important, not only in the human resources area but also in the area of self control. The research also showed that most of the respondents put the emotional intelligence principles into practice in their work team, but only at an amateur level. All findings and observations are summarized in the conclusion and discussion part of this thesis
