The Analysis of the implementation of the second pillar of the Common Agricultural Policy in the Czech Republic with the focus on protection of environmental, nature and landscape

The aim of this thesis was to conduct a thorough analysis of the second pillar of the Common Agricultural Policy in the European Union and the subsequent evaluation of its implementation in the Czech Republic. The analysis was conducted primarily using applicable laws, regulations and other official materials of both the European Union and the Czech Republic. Comparison of implementation at EU level was through comparison of the approved investment funds to individual submeasures of the Rural Development Programme between Member States and the European Union. The integration of rules at national level and their reflection in practice were explored by questionnaire survey among farmers themselves. The result of this investigation and examination of the legislative settings in the Czech Republic was the subsequent evaluation of the actual impact of the second pillar on the protection of environment, nature and landscape
