Invasive species - the general public survey

Invasive alien species are species that which is spreading rapidly, causing economic and economic damage, and generally have an effect on human health. Represent a major threat to global biodiversity, their presence has negative impacts on native plant and animal communities. The spread of invasive alien species is currently unintentional and is associated mainly with the development of transport and communication networks, and the development of global trade. Availability of information on invasive alien species is one of the most important factors in how it can be improved control the spread of invasive alien species in the Czech Republic. Providing information to the public in the Czech Republic is very weak. Anchoring the issue of invasive alien species in the Czech legislation is still very messy and inconvenient. The main aim of the thesis is to undertake a survey on the topic: Invasive species - a survey aimed at the general public. Sociological research is conducted using the snowball, which makes the sample has been collected about 100 samples. Collected data were statistically evaluated by chi-square test of goodness of fit. Of processed questionnaire can be generally stated that the respondents have a closer awareness of invasive alien species.
