Present geological and environmental conditions of the interesting old mining localities in Železný Brod and Semily region

The bachelor work evaluates natural, geological, landscape and ecological aspects of selected geological localities in Železný Brod and Semily region which were affected by raw material mining in the past while consequences of the mining activity are evident in the presence. The assessment of the current situation and possible solutions was done in terms of protection of nature and landscape, respectively education, training and awareness which results in the proposed management measures on the sites taking into account the occurrences of interesting rocks, eventually other geological phenomena, rare and endangered animals and others. Field work was carried out on the basis of archival research in geology and other institutions, which was focused on the search for the available geological maps, geological surveys, reports and other relevant sources and others
